Cinco De Mayo Homemade Margaritas
Cinco De Mayo, Fabulous Margaritas!
Another year has gone by and it is time to celebrate Cinco De Mayo, our favorite mexican holiday! But what would be a great Cinco De Mayo celebration without wonderful, tasty and refreshing Margaritas?
Please don't go to the store and buy the ready-mix! There are so many easy and great-tasting recipes for your perfect party! Here, I have listed my favorite ones, and they are friends approved!
You might like the traditional lime margarita, but have you ever tried a Beer-or Chocolate Margarita? Mix it up, your buddies will be thankful!
Beer Margarita
6 ounces tequila
12 ounces beer, light beer works better!
6 ounces frozen limeade concentrate
Ice cubes
Lime flavored salt
Put ice in a blender, add all ingredients and blend thoroughly. Garnish margarita glasses with salt and enjoy!
Original Limeade Margarita
1 (6 ounce) can frozen limeade concentrate
6 fluid ounces tequila
2 fluid ounces triple sec
Put ice in a blender, and add all ingredients.
Voila!
Chocolate Margarita
1 1/2 oz tequila
1 oz Godiva liquor
2 tablespoons chocolate syrup
3/4 oz cream or half and half
2 oz orange juice
1/2 oz lime juice
Stirrings Cocoa Rimmer
Ice
Garnish the margarita glasses with the cocoa rimmer. Combine the ingredients in an ice shaker and pour into glasses!
A Bucket of Margarita
You will need to make this recipe ahead of time, since it will take a while to get slushy. No blender required!
4 1/2 cups water
1 1/2 cups tequila
1 (12 fluid ounce) can frozen limeade
1/2 cup triple sec (orange-flavored liqueur)
1 whole lime, cut into 6 wedges
Stir all ingredients (except lime wedges) in a freezer proof bucket.
Put the bucket in the freezer until the margarita mix is getting slushy. Approximately 24 hours.
Garnish margarita glasses with lime wedges and enjoy!
Cinco De Mayo Party Ideas
Strawberry Margarita
6 fluid ounces tequila
2 fluid ounces triple sec
8 ounces frozen strawberries
4 fluid ounces frozen limeade concentrate
6 cups ice
Put ice in a blender and add all ingredients!
Watermelon Margarita
1-½ oz. tequila
¾ oz. triple sec
¾ oz. Midori
2 oz. sour mix
6 oz. cubed, seeded watermelon
8 oz. ice
Fill a blender with ice and add all ingredients. Garnish margarita glasses with lime and watermelon wedges!
